Duane Leinan began playing music in JR HIGH SCHOOL in 1992. He began playing Bass guitar. During the same time his father Ron Leinan thought him to play drums.
During school he wrote and recorded demos for the bands QUASAR, THE VOID. DIMINSTIONS.
In 1986 he formed EASY ACCESS with guitarist Richard Andres and drummer Sean Harbraught.
The band had some popularity as a local band with a DURAN DURAN Vive.
EASY ACCESS lasted from 1986 to 1989.
Duane Leinan worked with local bands playing clubs.
In 1990 to 1992 he recommended with THE VOID with David Rettenmir.
In 1993 Duane Leinan married his first wife and quiet playing music tell there divorce in 1998.
During 1998 , Duane Leinan was saught out to play on recordings and to write music for new acts.
He formed a local band named AS IS.
AS IS played around sacramento california and the Bay area. During a show in Burkley CA on March 12 2001 he was noticed by the assestent manager of THE KNACK.
He was offered to play with the band and do some recording . Duane Leinan played with the band tell February 2010 when guitarist Doug Fieger passed away.
Duane is still a well sought out song writer and musician.
