Hey there! LaTanya White here...yep that's me :).

I am best known for my leadership with 71 Proof, a beverage catering service the Southeast but I also bring a multi-dimensional approach to preparing today’s student for tomorrow’s workforce. This approach was carefully developed from my 4 years as a member pharmaceutical sales team and 7 years as an entrepreneur and servant-leader. I am a member of the 27th class of Leadership Tallahassee and serve on the board for the Big Bend Minority Chamber of Commerce.  I am the founder of Concept Creative Group, the parent company of 71 Proof and CCG Consulting, a firm helping small and start-up businesses move to the next level. I have served as a Visiting Instructor in the School of Business and Industry at Florida A&M University where I incorporate active learning strategies in the Entrepreneurship and Management courses I teach. I have served on the judges’ panel for organizations providing $90,000 in funding to local businesses. I also volunteer with the United Way of the Big Bend’s Community Human Services Partnership Grant; my participation has resulted in awarding nearly $500,000 in grant funds to outcomes-based organizations using local government funding. My role as a Professor of Entrepreneurship has led to my first foray into micro-funding by getting outstanding idea concepts through the path of commercialization. I will be pursuing my doctoral degree in Strategic Management beginning Fall 2015 and will be focusing my research on Minority Propensity for Risk and Innovation.  My teaching philosophy incorporates active- and service-learning strategies, where I focus on engaging with my students on a person level to breed a sense of accountability with today’s millennial student. My personal mission and motto is "Educate. Engage. Execute"; it is one that I apply to every area of service I commit to. If I can be of service in any way, please reach out to me. I can best be reached by email at latanya@latanyawhite.biz.
