The university system and especially the labour market demand a good knowledge with Microsoft-Office, but also with other programs like MATLAB. However the students are not being taught this knowledge - neither in school, nor in university. A group of students has started the "fit in IT" training courses for other students in order to help them gain this necessary skills - for example writing your Bachelor or Master thesis. This courses are absolutely free for RWTH students. The lessons are given in the IT-Center of our university and usually take place in the evening after lectures.
