16809 South Australia In the Supreme Court Testamentary Causes Jurisdiction. This is the last Will and Testament of me Johann Christoph LIEBELT Labourer Hahndorf. After all my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses have been paid I give and bequeath the sum of ten pounds to my daughter Johanne Louise PAECH and I direct that the sum of twelve pounds be expended for a tombstone to be erected on my late wife's and my grave and I give and bequeath the balance of my money now deposited in the Savings Bank unto my daughter Pauline Elisabeth THIELE. I further direct that my Executor of this my last Will shall collect a debt of fifty four pounds still owing to me by my son Gustav LIEBELT being the balance of the money for my property sold to him the fifty four pounds to be equally divided between my two sons Johann August LIEBELT and Johann Gottfried LIEBELT. I also direct that a stripper Winnower wardrobe table sofa which I left on the property sold to my son Gustav LIEBELT to be sold by my executor and that the money be equally divided between my aforesaid two sons Johann august LIEBELT and Johann Gottfried LIEBELT and my two daughters above named. I further bequeath unto my daughter Pauline Elisabeth THIELE my bedstead at present on the premises of my son Gustav LIEBELT. I appoint Mr Carl BOM of Hahndorf Monumental Mason to be Executor of this my last Will and Testament. In witness where of I the said Johann Christoph LIEBELT have to this my last Will and Testament set my hand the third day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and ten. Johann Christ LIEBELT. Signed by the Testator Johann Christoph LIEBELT and acknowledged by him to be his last Will and Testament in the presence of us present at the same time and subscribed by us as witnesses to the presence of the said Testator and of each other - Otto HÜBUER Teacher, Alfred E.R. BRAUER Minister of Religion. The above Will of Johann Christoph LIEBELT late of Hahndorf in the State of South Australia Labourer deceased who died at Hahndorf aforesaid the fifth day of March 1910 was proved in the Supreme Court of South Australia on the thirty first day of March 1910 by Matts Christian BOM of Hahndorf aforesaid Monumental Mason [in the Will written Carl BOM], the sole Executor therein named. Estate sworn not to exceed in value 200 pound. Dated this 31st day of March 1910.
Authors Note: Johann Christoff LIEBELT survived his wife by 12 years and from the above it seems he had sold his farm to his youngest of 7 children, Gustav Christoph, who by 1910, had been married for 13 years to Christiane Mathilde Lisette EY and all of their 10 children had been born. Of the 7 siblings, two had not survived into adulthood, leaving 3 sons & 2 daughters. Eldest daughter Johanne Louise PAECH who was to receive the first allocated amount of money [10 pound], had been married for 39 years to Johann Traugott PAECH & was 60 years of age and had birthed 8 children the oldest of whom was married with two children. and the youngest of whom was just starting her own family.
