Maps and Photographs of Mt Barker
I have tried here to produce a series of maps showing where the various locations mentioned on this site were. The basic map has been drawn by me from memory and various records and people have been consulted for the approximate location of businesses, homes, schools etc. I've also added some photos of the old town.
Click on the button to the left of the description to view a map. Each one is on a separate page, and I have provided a legend for each one as a reference.
- Central Mt Barker, showing the streets that existed in the original survey map. Streets lettered in blue are original streets, those lettered in red on the legend were added later or have had their names changed.
- Old Mt Barker, showing the places of worship, law enforcement establishments and hotels
- Old Mt Barker, showing schools and places of business
