The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company's Wingfoot Lake Airship Base, sometimes called "The Kitty Hawk of Lighter-Than-Air," or more colloquially know as the Goodyear Blimp Hangar is the oldest airship base in the United States. Originally there was a complex of several buildings but today almost all the secondary buildings have been torn down.

For a period the Goodyear Aerospace Corp. used the south third of the main hangar for development of gas centrifuges for uranium enrichment.
