The Oaks apartment buildings, built in 2006-2007, are the newest student apartment buildings on campus, and are home to over 500 Elon students living in 6 different buildings. The buildings are organized alphabetically by A, B, C, D, E and F.  Each building is named in honor of one of Elon's most esteemed faculty members, some including: Jo Watts Williams, John G. Sullivan, Janie P. Brown, and the late Janie E. Council. The biggest of the 6 buildings is building D which houses 120 people and the smallest of the buildings are buildings B and C which each house 72 people. All of the buildings offer both 4-person and 2-person apartments with the majority of the apartments being 2-person. The Oaks offers residence to sophomores and upperclassmen.

Each bedroom come fully furnished with a bed, a desk, a chair and a dresser in each room as well as living room features such as couches, chairs, tables and entertainment centers and kitchen features such as stoves, refrigerators and dishwashers.
