Danieley Center is a residential neighborhood named after Elon University's sixth President, Dr. James Earl Danieley, and his wife, Verona Danieley. It is the largest on-campus housing option at Elon University. This residential option is specifically for sophomore students at Elon University, but it does house some first year students as well.  The housing consists of several living styles: 8 or 10 person flats, 4 person - 4 bedroom apartments, and 4 person - 2 bedroom apartments. All of the residential buildings are identified by a letter (A-P). The Danieley Center also consists of the Daniel Commons building, which is accessible to all students living in the Danieley community.

Danieley Center A-F Residential Suites have two double bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room, a dining room and kitchen. Each suite includes the following:

  • Bedroom furniture (bed, desk, and dresser)
  • Kitchen appliances (dishwasher, refrigerator, stove)
  • Students in these buildings are allowed to use the block meal plan or the all access meal plan
  • Students have access to washing machines and dryers located in the Danieley B or Danieley E buildings, and it is $1.25 to wash and $0.25 per 15 minutes to dry

Danieley Center G-N Flats are suite style living with four double rooms, two and a half bathrooms, a common room, and a kitchen/kitchenette. Each room includes the following:

  • Bedroom furniture (bed, desk, and wardrobe)
  • Common Room furniture (two loveseats, and one arm chair)
  • Kitchen/Kitchenette furniture (round table, and four chairs)
  • Students are required to have the all access meal plan in these buildings
  • Students have access to 2 washers and 2 dryers located on each floor of the Danieley buildings, and it is $1.25 to wash and $0.25 per 15 minutes to dry

Danieley Center O-P Apartments have four single bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room and kitchen. Each apartment includes the following:

  • Bedroom furniture (bed, desk, and dresser)
  • Living room furniture (loveseat, two arm chairs and a coffee table)
  • Laundry appliances (washer and dryer)
  • Kitchen appliances (refrigerator and stove)
  • Students in these buildings are allowed to use the block meal plan or the all access meal plan

Daniel Commons was recently renovated and the new building opened in the fall of 2015. It now includes the following:

  • Study space with computers, TVs, and comfortable couches and chairs 
  • A classroom that can also serve as a study/meeting space when class is not scheduled
  • Qdoba (Mexican style fast food restaurant)
  • Einstein Bros. Bagels (serves bagels, sandwiches, salads, and coffee/smoothies)
  • Study space with computers and desks, that also serves as a dining area for the two restaurants
  • Outdoor basketball court
  • Outdoor patio with grill on one side, with an outdoor courtyard space on the other
  • The Neighborhood Area office.

Danieley Recreation Center is the unofficial name of the multipurpose space that is set to open in the last few months of the 2015 calendar year. It is said that it will include:

  • 1200 square foot fitness area
  • Staff offices
  • Large recreation space (about the size of two basketball courts) that can host sport and social events
