The Brauer Preserve is a 187 acre nature preserve in Freedom Township. It is administered by the Washtenaw County Parks and Recreation Department as a part of the Natural Areas Preservation Program. Originally a working farm, the preserve management includes farming on some portions of the land.
Directions: From I-94: Exit #167—Baker Road, southbound. Turn right off Baker onto Jackson Road (heading west, Baker ends at a “t” intersection). Turn left onto Parker Road (heading south). The preserve parking area is on the right (west) side of Parker Road, approx. 0.2 miles south of Waters Road (and approx. 0.7 miles north of Ellsworth Road).

Join the Ann Arbor Walks meetup.com group as we stroll this 187 acre preserve located a few miles southwest of Ann Arbor. The former farm still sees a little farming but is now managed ad an open space by Washtenaw County. Some trails exist in the rolling hills.
