Depot Town is a neighborhood and shopping district in Ypsilanti named for the (now defunct) train depot at it's center.
After passenger rail to Ypsi was discontinued Depot Town fell into disrepair and became one of the most dangerous areas in Washtenaw County. During the '60s and '70s it was home to the notorious biker bar Alibi's and was a site of one of the infamous Michigan Murders.
The area has experienced continous growth since the 1980s and is now home to several popular restaurants and shops, as well as Depot Town Radio.
