The Washtenaw County Employment Training and Community Services department (ETCS) provides a variety of workforce and community development services to Washtenaw County residents.
ETCS provides career development services year round, and runs various career development workshops and programs throughout the year. The ETCS Michigan Works service center, located on 304 Harriet Street in Ypsilanti, has computers, printers and fax machines to let residents prepare resumes and apply for jobs online. Applicant databases are also available for businesses to search for potential employees.
Besides their career development services, ETCS also offers community development services such as the food assistance for seniors, tax preparation assistance, the Washtenaw County Weatherization Program, and the Gateway Neighborhood Preservation Program.
