The Michigan played football in a stadium on Ferry Field from 1906-1926. The stadium seated up to 48,000 fans, and is located where the baseball stadium is now.
The land for Ferry Field was donated by Dexter Ferry, a Detroit businessman and president of the Ferry-Morse Seed Company.
