George E. Lewis was mayor of Ann Arbor from 1921-25. He was a member of the Ann Arbor Rotary Club, where he served as secretary for 31 years. He was a 1909 graduate of the University of Michigan College of Engineering. He was division superintendent of the Eastern Michigan Edison Company, in charge of the power plant at the Argo Dam.
