Henry Lewis Stadler, (b. March 23, 1923 – d. July 22, 2008), served as a Democrat on the Ann Arbor City Council representing Ward 5 from April 1969 to April 1971.
Stadler earned a PhD in nuclear physics from the University of Chicago. Dr. Stadler was with the research laboratories of Ford Motor Company. He represented the academic community on the Ann Arbor City Council – the "egg head", as he put it.
In 1972, he left Ford to join the Carter Administration as the Director of Transportation Systems in the Department of Energy.
Dr. Stadler finished his long career in science and engineering at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California.
