Lakewood  Elementary School is an elementary school in the Ann Arbor Public Schools. It is located at 344 Gralake Ann Arbor, MI 48103. Michelle Seals is the school principal.

Lakewood  students continue on to Forsythe Middle School or Slauson Middle School.

The school mascot is the Lizards.

Timeline:

1961:   Lakewood School is opened in January. Howard Steinman becomes the first principal.

Timeline

On June 12, 1969, the Ann Arbor Board of Education named Miss Florence Gasdick temporary principal of Lakewood Elementary School for the first semester while Principal Herman Steinman takes a sabbatical leave.  Miss Gasdick has been principal of Dixboro School.   (From Ann Arbor News archives.)
