The Michigan Information Technology Center (MITC) was a data center and conference center located on 1000 Oakbrook Drive, near the State Street exit on I-94. It closed in 2010.
Data center
The MITC building is the home of both Internet2 and the Merit Network. (Note: not confirmed to still be true in 2013.) A 50,000 square foot data center in the building is managed by the University of Michigan.
Conference center
The conference center had facilities for meetings from 6 to 145 participants.

The Michigan Information Technology Center Foundation, an Ann Arbor nonprofit formed in 2002 with a $10 million grant from the Michigan Economic Development Corp., is set to dissolve. Tax documents show that the MITC Foundation lost about $4.6 million from 2006 to 2008, the only years in which records were available.
