Raft, Peter A.
Age 99, of Tellico Village Tennessee, died Monday, September 26, 2011. Born Panos Raftopoulos in Lefkada, Greece on October 22, 1911. He came to the United States at age nine with his parents, Dionissios and Gianoula Raftopoulos. Settled in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where he attended Ann Arbor High School and graduated from the University of Michigan. He owned and operated two restaurants, The Lincoln and The Red Coach, in Ann Arbor before going to work for Ford Motor Company. He retired from Ford after 32 years as Industrial Relations Manager. After retiring, he and his wife relocated to Venice, Florida, where they spent 27 years before moving to Tennessee in 2000 to live with his son and daughter-in-law. He is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Norma L. Raft and their son, Harold A. Raft. Survivors include: son, Peter A. Raft, Jr. and his wife, Marianne of Tellico Village, Tennessee; daughter-in-law, Melody Raft of Trenton, Michigan.

Peter A. Raft III and his daughter, Emma; Scott A. Raft, his wife Rhonda and their children, Very and Charlotte; David W. Raft and his wife Trisha and their daughters, Alyssa and Jordan; Kelly Siciliano and her husband, Tony and their children Nikki and Joe.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
