Riverside Park is a quiet, little known park in Ann Arbor along the Huron River and immediately upstream of Island Park off of Maiden Lane. The entrance is easy to miss, off of the traffic circle and next to the apartment building. This park is mostly open grass with a softball field and is used for soccer. There are trees all along the Huron River edge of the park that obscure view of the river, but areas with picnic tables are cut.
This area of the river is relatively shallow and easily fished by wading. There are many smallmouth bass and other fish here. I often see people in waders with fly rods working the waters along the park.
The paved path along the river connects this park with Island Park downstream and Argo Park upstream, passing under the Broadway Bridges; it's part of the Border to Border Trail.
