The University Green Apartments are a 468-unit off-campus apartment complex near Eastern Michigan University. The complex is made up of three "communities", constructed between 1968 and 1974 and spanning 25 acres on the north side of the Huron River. The complex was owned by San Diego-based Coseo Properties, Inc. There were a few annual ownership changes every September from 2013-2015. The property is currently owned by Hayman Company of Michigan.
In October 2013, the complex featured prominently in the news after EMU football player Demarius Reed was found shot to death in a hallway.
After being acquired by Hayman, there was a change in branding, with the complex known as "UGA Apartments and Townhomes" on promotional materials and signage. University Green is still the official name of the property.
