The Ypsilanti Heritage Foundation is dedicated to the belief that Ypsilanti's wealth of historic architecture is one of its greatest resources. The conservation, rehabilitation and utilization of historic architecture adds immeasurably to the betterment of the whole community. The foundation, a non-profit organization founded in 1974, seeks to increase public understanding and appreciation of these architectural links with the past, to educate the community in the philosophy and purpose of historic preservation, and to encourage public and private preservation efforts.
