"The Perkins Overpass" refers to the retail area under the overpass where Perkins crosses some railroad tracks, between City Park and the Garden District. Some good Bars and Restaurants, a grocery store, and 2 clothing stores cluster here. Parking is helter-skelter in no-mans-land under the overpass structure (and a nearby freeway overpass), but the real props to this area is that it's one of Baton Rouge's few retail areas not physically isolated from surrounding residences.
