The Pacesetter of College Marching Bands, The Pride of California, The University of California Marching Band...is one of many Student Organizations on campus.
The University of California Marching Band was founded in 1891 (ROTC Band), and remains one of the few student-run college marching bands in the US. (from Band's website). The Cal Band has about 200 to 225 members and marches a military/high step style. The band also has an active Alumni Association.
