Public libraries

Berkeley has its own library system. This includes a main branch, local branches and a tool lending library. Library cards are issued with a valid ID with a Berkeley address or a utility bill from Berkeley.

The Berkeley Public Library has several branches.

• Central Library (includes the Berkeley History Room)

• South Branch, near Ashby (includes the tool lending library)

• North Branch

• Claremont Branch

• West Branch
