Local 123, whose name reflects their building's history as a union hall and the café's focus on locally-sourced ingredients, is a coffee shop located on San Pablo Avenue just a few doors down from University Avenue. Although their storefront can easily be missed as one passes by, they have comfortable seating inside for ~30 folks, plus a relatively quiet back patio with seating for another ~12.

As of August 2009, there's an older gray cat who likes to nap in the sun in the patio.
