Local Parks
There are a large number of local parks around Bloomington-Normal. Most residential areas have a park that is well within walking distance. While they are designed to serve that area, all city parks are open to the public. In addition to the city parks, there are privately owned parks which are not open to the general public. A good example of one such park is the State Farm Park, listed below, which was built to serve the employees of State Farm.
Public parks in Bloomington are maintained by the Bloomington Parks and Recreation Department. http://www.cityblm.org/parks/ Normal's public parks are maintained by the Normal Parks and Recreation Department. http://www.normal.org/gov/parksandrec/index.asp
