Boating within the city limit of Camarillo is pretty difficult. There are few navigable waterways. With perhaps a few exceptions, all of the lakes and ponds in town are man-made. The Rivers are small and dry much of the year. In the winter when they are flowing, they become treacherous because of high speeds and lots of debris.
If you enjoy boating, your best bet is to head out of town, either to the Beaches or to some of the major Lakes near by. Or, if you enjoy model boating, Camarillo Regional Park has a model boat launch and pond for hobbyists.
