Mission Oaks is a neighborhood west of Downtown but east of Santa Rosa. This area was created by rapid development of walnut orchards in the 1970s-1990s by quick building companies like Pardee Homes. Houses in this sprawling neighborhood are stereotyped as having cheap construction and little personality since every fourth house has the same floor plan. The look of many homes is beginning to diverge as time passes since their construction.
The area has many parks and quiet streets where children can ride their bikes and play games. Kids in this area typically attend Los Colinas for elementary and middle school and then move to Adolfo Camarillo High School.
Would someone who's lived here like to describe the community? What is it like to live there? People seem to like it.
