Canton Area Moms 4 Community (CAM4C) is a non-profit 501(c)(4) organization for Moms and their children offering social outlets to members and their families, as well as opportunities to serve in the community. This group is not affiliated with any religious or political organization.
Membership
Annual membership dues are $24; dues are pro-rated. Half of the annual dues go towards community service projects.
Always accepting new members from any city in southeast Michigan. Potential new members can come to two events (excluding events at members' homes) for free before deciding to join.
Members are invited to join an email list exclusive to the group.
Activities
Most activities take place in Canton, Plymouth, and Westland.
Events are scheduled each month including a monthly membership meeting, a monthly Moms Night Out, and playgroups.
CAM4C completes four or five community service projects every year. Members can participate in these projects or donate items to them, but neither action is required.
History
Canton Area Moms 4 Community was started in July 2006 as a support group for stay-at-home-moms, moms who work outside the home, and their families. The founders also wanted to give Moms the opportunity to give back to the community.
