Grass-roots ecumenical ministry which seeks to eliminate poverty housing and to make decent housing available to low income families in the city of Detroit. This is a joint venture in that those that benefit are involved in work at various levels.

Purpose
Volunteer house building.
Each homeowner contributes a hundreds of hours of sweat equity and continues to help with on-going Habitat projects and then is provided with a no-interest non-profit mortgage. Web site discusses and illustrates work accomplished, chapter news, organization history, and provides opportunities to donate or become a sponsor through on-line donation or mail-in form. Credit card donation is also possible by phone.
