The Cary Train Depot (CYN) is in the "Heart of Cary" within walking distance of local shops and eateries.  The train depot serves 3 passenger trains, the Silver Star, Carolinian and Piedmont services. Eight trains daily provide service from the Cary Depot to Raleigh, Greensboro, Charlotte, 11 other North Carolina cities, to Florida and to the Northeast.

The Depot was upgraded in 2011 with a new waiting area, restrooms and a staffed sales window. There is significant amount of free short and long term parking, and the expansion also added new outside benches and platform shelters.
