The Campus Antiwar Network is a national student-run organization attempting to unite anti-war groups from colleges nationwide. The CSU Chico Progressive Student Union hosted and sponsored the CAN West Coast Conference in 2003.

CAN has 4 credos, called Points of Unity, which all member groups also support. These form the core of what the network stands for. A Point is selected by a vote of the group delegates. At present, they are:

  1. We are opposed to U.S. or U.N. war on Iraq.

  2. We call for an end to the sanctions that, for over a decade, have caused deep, widesperad suffering to the people of Iraq.

  3. We stand opposed to all attacks on civil liberties and racist scapegoating.

  4. We demand money for education, jobs and healthcare, not war.1
