Italian Cottage off Skyway

The Italian Cottage is a casual restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner with locations in both north and south Chico. This is a Chico institution, well known among the locals. It has been voted "Best Breakfast," "Best Italian Food" and "Best Family Dining" by the Chico News & Review's Best of Chico awards. They also do a Sunday champagne brunch.

There are two things that will strike a customer upon first entering the Italian Cottage: the floors and the waitresses. The floors are covered in sawdust, which can make the place charming, and yet somewhat annoying if you're caught unaware and wearing sandals. The waitresses have always worn very distinctive uniforms (read: short skirts) that must be seen to be believed. A written description cannot do it justice, so let it suffice to say that they are different.

For those that have fond memories of Pac-Man, be prepared to wax nostalgic when you run into a Pac-Man table-top arcade in the waiting area. That game never grows old! Even young kids still dig it.
