The City of Chico's Urban Forest Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of an urban forest management program involving trees and shrubs located in City parks and public rights-of-way.
On the night of April 26th or early morning of the 27th, somebody intentionally cut 30 brand new saplings mid-height on East Eighth Street. The urban forester plans on replacing them although each tree up to that time cost about $200. That includes cost of tree and maintenance such as watering1. Call the Chico Police Department if you have any information.
