World War II continues. The City Council unanimously calls for Japanese Internment
- January: College of Agriculture students finish up finals. Those who remain students are transferred to the Berkeley campus.
- February 6: The Army Signal Corps assumes control over the UC Davis Campus, using it as a training ground. Faculty doing research remain on campus, and poultry science roosters purportedly awaken soldiers housed in the dorms (North Hall, South Hall).
