Binh Nguyen graduated from UC davis in 2003 with a degree in political science and a minor in English. Ms. Nguyen was a member of ASUCD's Gender and Sexuality Commission, an ASUCD Senator (UNITE), an Arts writer for the California Aggie, and 2003's Picnic Day publicity Director. She is also the recipient of UC Davis' Outstanding Senior Award in 2003.

Ms. Nguyen spearheaded multiple projects as an ASUCD Senator, such as working with the Women Center to host a lecture by Medea Benjamin, co-founder of Global Exchange, on campus to discuss the plight of women in post taliban Afghanistan, Coordinating a concert with ASUCD's entertainment council on the Quad featuring local bands, and raising awareness for racial issues, such as Abercrombie and Fitch T-shirt slogans incident.

As Publicity Director for Picnic day, Ms. Nguyen raised widespread awareness such as generating media interest in the band audition process, and coordinating interviews with TV news stations.
