UNT Slow Food is a college chapter of Slow Food USA. Slow Food at the University of North Texas empowers a network of students optimistic in exploring the relationship between food, the consumer, and the producer from local to global connections. Understanding we are all interdependent, Slow Food UNT will partner with local growers, artisans, student organizations, and like-minded individuals who support good, clean, and fair food. By reviving food as a focal point for conviviality, we will provide an open forum for students to discuss and challenge our current knowledge of the food we eat each day. Through resources, events, programs, and projects, we hope to connect students with their local environment and the food it is capable of yielding.
