Sonic is a national chain of drive-in fast food restaurants with like fifty billion locations in Denton.  They sell hamburgers, chicken, hot dogs, tater tots, breakfast, shakes, and a variety of refreshing non-alcoholic beverages.  All served by rollerskating car hops that clearly have no fear of Denton drivers.

The 4005 N Interstate 35 location also has an air-conditioned dine-in area for the eating and congregating, which is very rare for any Sonic restaurant.   It even sported a small arcade in the back for the kiddos for a number of years. However, the dine-in area was shrunk in 2011 by walling off the back half to give dine-in section a cozy 'eating in a closet' feel.  The arcade games are still visible through the darkened windows of the closed off area as a reminder of how much fun this location used to be.
