Established out of the remains of GHENJIN (1996-1997, Brett Chamberlain, Michael Paige, and Winston Dinkins) and Cricket (1995, bassist Tony Holts) UNDERTOe only recorded one EP "Friends of Schmoe" recorded & mixed at Reel Time Audio in Denton, TX, in April 1999.
They played several club shows in and around Denton and Dallas: Mr. Porky's, Rick's, The Delta Lot (during the time period before the new Delta Lodge was built), Cool Beans, the 1999 Fry Street Fair, Club Dada, Across the Street Bar, The Rock, and Trees. During a mid-set Michael and Brett would switch instruments to showcase Michael's dizzying guitar technique.
They disbanded before their sole EP was released which only remains in cassette tape form. Brett moved back to Connecticut in the fall of 1999, Tony moved to Illinois, and Michael passed away in 2000 due to a freak skateboarding accident. Bootleg versions of "Friends of Schmoe" are known to be found on the internet.
