UNT's FMLA host a production of the Vagina Monologues annually, raising over $120,000 for charities in the past ten years. The proceeds go to local rape crisis and battered women shelters, as well as a spotlight. In recent years, the spotlight has been the rape victims of the Democratic Republic of Congo, and the women and girls affected by the Haiti disaster.
The show has been held in UNT's Auditorium Building. However in 2012 it will be in the Lyceum located in the University Union.
There is usually a dancing vagina at these events. It appears to belong to an albino woman, and has a talking clitoris.
The 2012 production will be Feb. 17, 18, and 19. The Friday and Saturday performances will be at 6:30pm and the Sunday show will be at 2:00pm.
