is a former chief compliance officer at the Detroit Water and Sewerage Department who left in 2013 to become a Partner in the law firm of Ottenwess, Allman and Taweel. In 2014, the law firm was re-named Ottenwess, Taweel & Schenk, PLC. He had been chief of staff to Wayne County Executive Robert Ficano starting in 2009. Before joining Wayne County, Schenk served as Senior Policy Analyst for Councilwoman Sheila Cockrel on the Detroit City Council and then served as Legislative Assistant Corporation Counsel for the Detroit Law Department.
Schenk is a graduate of the Wayne State University Law School and received his undergraduate degrees from the University of Michigan, with Honors, in 1993..
