Midtown is a geographic area that includes the Cultural Center, the Detroit Medical Center, the Cass Corridor, and Wayne State University.
The geographic boundaries of the area are I-94 to the North, I-75 to the East, I-75 S to the South, and M10 (the Lodge) to the West.
The area is cited as one of the few growing neighborhoods in the city, in large part because of the employment housing demand provided by Wayne State and the DMC, the increased safety provided by the Wayne State Police, and the careful planning provided by the area's CDC, Midtown Detroit, Inc.
