January 21, 2015. Pipeline to bring Lake Huron water to Genesee County is 'under budget and on schedule'. Flint Journal.  "The project that will bring fresh water from Lake Huron to Genesee County is right on track, officials told the Genesee County Board of Commissioners on Wednesday, Jan. 21. The Karegnondi Water Authority, a partnership between the city of Flint and Genesee County, is building the new pipeline to supply the area with fresh Lake Huron water. Now, Genesee County buys water from the city of Detroit and Flint processes water from the Flint River."
