Gainesville Regional Airport (GNV) is a public airport located 3 miles northeast of Gainesville. It is owned by the City of Gainesville and operated by the Gainesville-Alachua County Regional Airport Authority.
The facility was originally built in 1941 as the Alachua Army Airfield, and was deeded to the city in 1948 as Gainesville Municipal Airport.
Commercial air service is currently (2015) available to Miami and Charlotte via American Eagle, and to Atlanta via Delta and Delta Connection.
