History
UNCG Strong Residential College was founded in 1994 and headed by Dr. Laurie White and Dr. Robert O'Hara. Strong College built its name by offering stimulating seminars and extra core curriculum education.
Objective
Strong College has a theme of Sustainability. No matter your major, Strong ensures you have the tools to sustain.
Location
Strong College is a sector of UNCG and offered to UNCG students only.
Strong College leads its program out of Guilford Residence Hall. Most occupants are apart of Strong College.
Guilford has the biggest freshmen dorm on campus!
Curriculum
Strong College creates a unique curriculum for its students. Students are expected to take two core classes and a capstone class.
Students are able to pick which classes they wish to take.

All committees are organized and ran by students.
Activities
Strong College offers various activities and field trips such as:
- Tea Time - every Tuesday at five Tea Time committee gives out free and snacks
- Movie Night - twice a week the Movie Night committee organizes a movie and snacks in the dorm
- Halloween Dance - the Halloween Dance committee organize a dance for students on Halloween
- Staunton Trip - most students in Strong take a trip to Virginia for the Shakespeare Festival
- Destination UNCG - students help tour perspective students at Destination UNCG
- Graduation Party and Reception - Strong celebrates graduating students with a party and reception to remember all the good times Strong had to offer
Perspective Students
There are no extra fees associated with being a Strong Student.
Strong College accepts all applications from full time students. Students can fill out applications online or with paper applications turned directly into Guilford.
