Roy's pasties are very good, I place an order when I first get in town and then pick them up on my way out. They box them frozen with reheating directions. Their baked goods are delicious !

Skip the traditional pasty at Roy's and try the turkey cranberry. I brought six home from Winter Carnival. Like having a Thanksgivng feast with each bite.
t's a nice, clean, friendly little restaurant. Seating provides a pleasant view of Portage and the bridge. I've enjoyed a couple of their "different" pasties in the past - cranberry turkey pasty and a breakfast pasty. They also have a wonderful pastry selection - which is why I was there in the first place.

Great cinnamon rolls at the Hilltop Restaurant in L'Anse as well as other baked goods and jams ( they have thimbleberry and apple butter and many others ). We almost always stop on the way to or from MTU.
At Hilltop, the cinnamon rolls are as big as your head. And special bonus: check out the giant taxidermy whitefish in the trophy case
