The Silver Spoon was a part of Kitchener for 20 yaers. It was a family-run chocolate store, bistro, and cafe. The homemade chocolate and ice cream shop were in front and there was restaurant style seating in the back. They served good soups, sandwiches, high tea, fondue, and other desserts. The food was freshly made from scratch in-store. To find a restaurant with such inexpensive prices and an amazing quality of food and service, indeed, this was a gem to find in downtown Kitchener.

The Silver Spoon hosted a monthly Sweet Sweet Music night, as well as the KW Metaverse Poetry Slam.
