Victoria Park is the central park in Downtown Kitchener. It features a large field hosts a variety of activities. These include:

  • meeting space
  • soccer pitch
  • frisbee place
  • end location for Critical Mass
  • lovely pale pink bridge built in 1895
  • great place to listen to/view a variety of birds
  • majestic willows

It also features a jungle gym, a walking path, a gazebo, the clock tower, a splash pad, and is home to the Waterloo Regional Heritage Foundation, as well as the Victoria Pavillion.

It is also connected to the Iron Horse Trail.

In the park you'll see a variety of urban-Canadian wildlife - often in intimidating numbers. In the spring you will find large groups of canadian geese migrating north for the summer. Caution is always a good idea when maneuvering around the often path-blocking birds, but they're typically not violent and there is no reason to be scared of them.

Some of the species you'll find in the park include:

  • Canada Goose
  • Mallard Duck
  • Squirrel
  • Chipmunk
  • Swan
