The Beat Goes On was established in 1991 by John Rocchetta. Originally located at Ottawa & River Rd. (Stanley Park Mall), BGO expanded to three locations (including King St. in Waterloo and Fairway Rd. in Kitchener) by 1996. The following year, the original BGO store moved to its current location at 415 Hespeler Rd. in Cambridge, and eventually expanded to 10 stores.
The BGO predominately sells used CDs, DVDs, vinyl & console video games (Playstation 2/3, Xbox360, Wii, etc).
