The last month of summer has one of Asheville's most historic music festivals. The Mountain Dance and Folk Festival originated in 1928. Since then, fiddlers, dancers, banjo players, and even child violinists have come together to enjoy the first weekend in August. It is set to take place from August 6-8, 2015, for the 88th year at Diana Wortham Theatre at Pack Place. http://www.folkheritage.org/75thannua.htm
