The Eau Claire Area Hmong Mutual Assistance Association(ECAHMAA), was founded in the 1980s in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. The ECAHMAA is a non-profit organization that offers support in the Eau Claire area through multiple programs. Most of the funding for ECAHMAA comes from United Ways and local donations. The ECAHMAA offers food assistance, funded by United Ways and other charities. ECAHMAA also offers government funded programs such as, sexual assault assistance, violence against women and more. Currently ECAHMAA majority of the people who use the services provided by ECAHMAA are Hmong and LatinX. However, ECAHMAA food pantry is open to all who require food assistance and meet the 200% federal poverty level. Also, most of their other programs are available for all. The Food pantry is everyday and rice is available on Wednesday. ECAHMAA provides 11,000-15,000 pounds of rice per year throughout the Eau Claire region. If you are unable to find transportation to ECAHMAA, there are transportation available for elders "kasjiab". ECAHMAA is also partnered with Bridge to Hope in Menomonie if you are unable to get to Eau Claire.
